To reduce stress and prevent burnout we need rest but what is a restful mind? With eyes closed, removed from external distraction it is common for the mind to experience a relentless stream of thoughts & emotions without much effort. Given the heavy demand of modern life on cognitive load, managing the onslaught of ongoing sensory and mental events throughout daily life and improving efficiency of mental processing is of high concern.
